Ist Jesus Gott?

(part 1 of 4)

1. The Bible says that God is not a human being.
You can read in the Bible:
Numbers 23:19 „God is not a human being …“
Hosea 11: 9 „… because I am God and not a human being. .. ”
Jesus is referred to many times in the Bible as a man:
John 8:40“… such a person who I have told you the truth … ”
Acts 2:22:“ Jesus of Nazareth, the man, from God proven among you with deeds and miracles and signs which God did through him among you, as you know yourself. ”
Acts 17:31: “… to whom he wants to judge the earth with righteousness through a man whom he has appointed.”
1.Tim. 2: 5 “… the man Jesus Christ.”
God is not a man, but Jesus, may God praise him, was a man, so Jesus cannot have been God.
2. The Bible says that God is not the son of man
. Numbers 23:19: „God is not a man … nor a child of men …“
In the Bible, Jesus is often referred to as „a son of man“ or „the son of man.“ “ designated.
Matthew 12:40: „… becomes the son of man …“
Matthew 16:27: „… the son of man comes …“
Matthew 16:28: „… until they see the son of man coming in his kingdom.“
Mark 2:10 „So that you know that the Son of Man has authority …“
John 5:27: „… because he is the Son of Man.“
The Hebrew Scriptures also refer to the Son of Man in numerous places when people are mentioned: (Job 25: 6; Psalm 80:17; 144: 3; Ezekiel 2: 1; 2: 3; 2: 6; 2: 8; 3: 1; 3: 3; 3: 4; 3:10; 3:17; 3:25).
Since God would never contradict himself by first saying that he is not the son of a person, and then he would become a human being called the „Son of Man“ – He would not do that. Remember, God is not one who wants to create confusion. Human beings, including Jesus, are also called “sons of man”, especially to distinguish them from God, who according to the Bible is not a “son of man”.
3. The Bible says Jesus denied that he was God
Luke 18:19 Jesus spoke to a man who described him as „good“. He asked him: „What do you approve of me? Nobody is good than God alone. ”
Matthew 19:17 he said to him: “What do you ask me about what is good? Only one is good. But if you want to go to life, keep the commandments. ”
Jesus did not teach people that he was God. If Jesus had told people that he was God, he would have congratulated the man. Instead, Jesus rebuked him, denied that he was good, and thus denied that he was God.
4. The Bible says that God is greater than Jesus
John 14:28 „… the Father is greater than me.“
John 10:29 “The father who gave it to me is greater than anything.”
Jesus cannot be God himself if he emphasizes that God is greater than him. The Christian belief that father and son should be the same is in direct contradiction to the clear words of Jesus.
5. Jesus never commanded his disciples to worship Him or the Holy Spirit, but God and only God only
Luke 11: 2 “When you pray, say: ‚Our Father in Heaven!’”
John 16:23 “And on the same day you won’t ask me anything Truly, truly, I say to you: If you ask the Father something, he will give it to you in my name. ”
John 4:23 “But the time is coming and it is now that the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; because the father wants to have those who worship him. ”
If Jesus were God, he would have let himself be worshiped. But he didn’t do that; instead he emphasized the worship of God in heaven, as a result he was not God.
6. The Bible says that Jesus recognized and worshiped the One, True God, and served Him
Jesus prayed to God in the following words:
John 17: 3 “But this is eternal life, that you, you who are only true God, and whom you have sent, Jesus Christ. ”
Jesus prayed to God all night long:
Luke 6:12 „He stayed in prayer to God overnight.“
… Because:
Matthew 20:28: “Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve.”
How did Jesus worship God?
Matthew 26:39 „‚… he fell down on his face and prayed and said:‘ My Father … ‚“
Even Paul said:
Hebrews 5: 7 „And in the days of his flesh he offered prayer and supplication with strong cries and tears to those who could help him out of death; and is also heard because he honored God. ”
To whom did Jesus pray when he fell on his face with loud cries and urgent requests? Was it to yourself? Did Jesus tear himself to be redeemed before death? Nobody, healthy or sick, worships himself! The answer must be “No!” ring. Jesus worshiped “the one true God”. Jesus was the servant of the One who sent him. Can there be clearer evidence that Jesus was not God?
The Quran confirms that Jesus called to worship the one true God:
“Verily, God is my Lord and your Lord, therefore serve Him (alone). This is a straight path. ” (Quran 3:51)

(part 2 of 4)

7. The Bible says the disciples did not believe that Jesus was God.
The book of Acts in the Bible follows the activities of the disciples over a period of thirty years after Jesus may God praise him – had been raised to heaven. During this period, they never spoke of Jesus as God. For example, Peter got up with the eleven disciples and said to a crowd:
Acts 2:22 “You men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, the man, shown by God among you with deeds, miracles and signs, which God did through you among you, as you know yourself …”
For Peter was Jesus‘ servant of God (confirmed in Matthew 12:18).
Acts 3:13 „The God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified his servant Jesus.“
Acts 3:26 „… God raised up his servant Jesus …“
When he had to answer the hostility of the high council, Peter answered:
Acts 5: 29-30 „You have to obey God more than people. The God of our fathers raised Jesus … „
The disciples worshiped God just as Jesus commanded them to do in Luke 11: 2 and considered Jesus to be a servant of God.
Acts 4:24 “… they raised their voices unanimously to God and said: ‚Lord, you who made heaven and earth and the sea and all that is in it.’”
Acts 4:27 “… yours holy servant Jesus whom you have anointed. ”
Acts 4:30 “… your holy servant Jesus.”
This is exactly what the Quran says about Jesus:
Quran 19: 30 “… I am a servant of God.”
8. The Bible says Jesus was a servant of God, a chosen and loved one
Matthew 12:18 „Behold, this is my servant whom I have chosen and my beloved whom my soul is pleased with.“
Since Jesus is God’s servant, Jesus cannot be God.
9. The Bible says Jesus could not do anything by himself
John 5:19 „The son cannot do anything of himself, only what he sees the father can do.“
John 5:30 „I can’t do anything about myself.“
Jesus did not consider himself equivalent to God, he even denied that there was anything he could do about himself.
10. The Bible says God performed miracles through Jesus & Jesus was limited in
what he did. Matthew 9: 8 „When the people saw this, they feared and praised God who had given such power to men.“
Acts 2:22 “Jesus of Nazareth, the man, shown by God among you with deeds and miracles and signs which God did through him among you, as you know yourself …”
Acts 10:38 “… he went about and has done well and healed all who were overwhelmed by the devil, because God was with him. ”
If Christ were God, the Bible would simply say that Jesus himself would have performed these miracles without referring to God. The fact is, however, that God gives power for the miracles that have been accomplished, and this shows that God is greater than Jesus.
Jesus could not work miracles fully. Once when he tried to heal a blind man, after the first attempt, the man was not immediately healed and Jesus tried again (Mark 8: 22-26). Another time a woman was cured of her incurable bleeding. The woman approached him from behind, touched his coat and was healed on the spot. But Jesus had no idea who had touched him:
Mark 5:30 “And Jesus immediately felt to himself that a power had come from him, and turned around in the crowd and said: ‚Who touched my clothes?‘ ”
Mark 6: 5“ And he couldn’t do a single act there; he put his hands on only a few sick people and healed them. ”
Obviously, someone with such limitations cannot be God. The power to perform miracles was not with Jesus.
11. The Bible says angels strengthen Jesus in times of weakness; However, God does not need any strengthening
Luke 22:43 „But an angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him [in the garden of Gethsemane].“
Mark 1:13 „and he was tempted by Satan until he disappeared and behold, angels came and served him.“
Mark 1:13 „He was in the desert forty days and was tempted by Satan and was with the animals, and the angels served him.“
People need to be strengthened; Not God, because God is Almighty. If Jesus had to be strengthened, he cannot be God.
12. The Bible says that Jesus wanted God’s will to be done, not his own
Luke 22:42: “not mine, but your will be done!”
John 5:30 „I’m not looking for my will, but the will of the one who sent me.“
John 6:38 „For I came from heaven not to do my will, but to do the will of the one who sent me.“
Are some partners of the same Trinity overzealous and unlike the others? If you have different desires (“I’m not looking for my will”), do you obey the other’s command without asking? Jesus allows him to subordinate his own will, which is different from God’s (“the will of the one who sent me”). But according to the Trinity doctrine, they should all have the same will. Should one partner of the Trinity suppress his will in favor of the other? Shouldn’t all three have exactly the same will?
13. The Bible says Jesus considered God’s testimony separate from his own
Jesus considered himself and God as two and not “one”.
John 8:17 and 18: “It is I who testify of myself; and the father who sent me also testifies of me. ”
John 14: 1 “Don’t scare your heart! Believe in God and believe in me! ”
If Jesus were God, he would not have quoted God’s testimony separately from his own.

(part 3 of 4)

14. The Bible says Jesus is subordinate to God
1. Corinthians 11: 3: “But I let you know that Christ is the head of every man; but the man is the head of the woman; But God is the head of Christ. ”
1 Corinthians 15:28: “But if everything is subject to him, then the son himself will also be subject to the one who has submitted everything to him, so that God is all in all.”
Since Jesus was subordinate to God, he was not God.
15. The Bible says Jesus grew up in wisdom & learned but God is wise & does not need to learn
Jesus grew up in wisdom but God is wise:
Psalm 147: 5 “Our Lord is great and powerful, and incomprehensible is how he rules. ”
Luke 2:52 „And Jesus increased in wisdom.“
God does not need to learn, but Jesus learned.
Hebrews 5: 8 „Even though he was a son, he learned obedience.“
16. The Bible says that Jesus had limited knowledge, but God’s knowledge is unlimited
Mark 13:32 “Nobody knows about the day and the hour, not even the angels in heaven, not even the son, but only the Father.
Since Jesus did not know – may God praise him – he was not omniscient and therefore he cannot be God whose knowledge is all-encompassing.
17. The Bible says Jesus was tempted, but God cannot be tempted
Hebrews 4:15 „… who is tempted everywhere is the same as we …“
James 1:13 „… because God cannot be tempted to do evil. .. ”
If God cannot be tried, but Jesus can be tempted, then Jesus could not be God.
18. The Bible says that the teachings of Jesus came from God, NOT from Jesus himself
John 7:16 „Jesus answered them and said:“ My teaching is not mine, but that which sent me. “
Jesus would not have said this if he were God, because then the teaching would have been his.
19. The Bible says that Jesus died, but God cannot die.
The Bible teaches that Jesus died. God never dies. It is written in Romans 1:23 and other verses that God is immortal. Immortal means „not subject to death“. This term only applies to God.
20. The Bible says Jesus lived because of God
John 6:57 „I live for the Father’s sake.“
Jesus cannot be God because his own existence was dependent on God.
21. The Bible says Jesus‘ powers were given to him
Matthew 28:18 „All authority has been given to me.“
God is Almighty, the holder of all strength; no one gives God His strength, otherwise He would not be God, because then He would be weak. That is why Jesus could not be God.
22. The Bible says Jesus was taught & instructed by God
John 8:28 „As the Father taught me, I speak.“
John 12:49 “The father who sent me gave me a commandment of what to say and say.”
John 15:10 “… just as I keep my father’s commandments…”
Nobody teaches God, otherwise God could not be the omniscient. Since Jesus learned from God and received orders, Jesus cannot be God himself. The teacher and the student, the commander and the commanded cannot be one.
23. The Bible says God made Jesus a „Lord“
Acts 2:36 „… that God made this Jesus … Lord and Christ.“
The term “Lord” is used frequently in the Bible and others other than God and Jesus are also referred to as “Lord”. For example:
1) Owner (Matthew 20: 8)
2) Housekeeper (Mark 13:35)
3) Owner of slaves (Matthew 10:24)
4) Husband (1 Peter 3: 6)
5) A son calls his father Lord (Matthew 21:30)
6) The Roman conquerors were called Lord (Acts 25:26)
7) Roman authorities were called Lord (Matthew 27:63)
„Lord“ is not the same as „God.“ “Lord” (the Greek word is curious) is a respectful and honorable form of address for a man and is often used in the Bible. If Jesus were God, it would make no sense for the Bible to say that he was made a “Lord”.
24. The Bible says Jesus was lower than Angels
Hebrews 2: 9, „But the one who was“ a little lower than the angels, „Jesus.“
God, the creator of the angels, cannot be lower than His own creation, but Jesus. Therefore Jesus was not God.
25. The Bible says Jesus called the father “my God”
Matthew 27:46 “My God, my God, why did you leave me?”
John 20:17 „I go up to my father and to your father, to my God and to your God.“
Epiphany. 3:12 „… in the temple of my God … the name of my God … Jerusalem, the city of my God, which comes down from heaven from my God.“
Jesus didn’t think he was God himself – God’s praise and peace be upon him -. Instead, the God of Jesus is the same as our God. – God’s praise and peace be upon him –
26. The Bible says God cannot be seen, but Jesus was visible
John 1:18 „Nobody has ever seen God.“

(part 4 of 4)

27. The Bible says twice that Jesus claimed to be God, but he denied
According to the Bible, there were two incidents in which the Jews hostile to Jesus because they thought he was God or that he was on par with God. Had Jesus – may God praise him – claim that he was God, he would have been more often hostile on this basis. When asked about these two cases – in one case he claimed to be God himself, in the other he should have been on a par with God – he dismissed these allegations. To the accusation that he had placed himself on the same level as God, he replied immediately:
John 5:19, 30 “The son cannot do anything about himself, only what he sees the father doing”; and immediately afterwards:
„I can’t do anything by myself.“
In response to the accusation of making himself God, he appeals to the Jews, essentially with: Your own writings call Moses a god and your high priests gods; I am certainly not inferior to them, but I did not call myself God, only the “son” of God. (John 10: 34-36).
But it is highly questionable whether this was actually Jesus‘ answer. Hasting’s „The Dictionary of the Bible“ says: „It is doubted that Jesus should have spoken of himself like this.“ In Grolier’s encyclopedia we read under the note „Jesus Christ“: „It is uncertain whether the father / son language (Mark 18:32; Matthew 11: 25-27; John) goes back to Jesus himself.“ A professor from the University of Richmond, Dr. Robert Alley, after in-depth study of newly found old documents, concluded that:
“…. The (biblical) passages in which Jesus speaks about the Son of God are later insertions … what the Church says about him. Such an assertion of divinity would not in the least fit his entire lifestyle, as we can reconstruct. In the first thirty years after Jesus‘ death, Christianity continued to live as a sect of Judaism. For the first thirty years, the church existed within the synagogue. It would have gone beyond belief if they (the followers) had boldly proclaimed the divinity of Jesus. ”
Let’s say Jesus actually said he was the “son” of God. What does that mean? To do this, we first have to understand the language of his people, the language of the Jews with whom he spoke.
First, most people think that there are no other verses that contradict each other or give a similar divine sonship to other people in the Old or New Testament. According to the Bible, however, God had a few “sons”: Adam [1], Jacob is God’s son and firstborn [2], Solomon [3], Ephraim [4] is God’s firstborn, ordinary people are called sons of God. [5] All four Gospels report that Jesus said, “Blessed are the peacemakers; they are called sons of God. ”
The word “son” cannot be taken literally, because obviously in the Bible God describes many of His chosen servants as “son” and “sons”. The Hebrews believed that God is one and had no wife or children in any sense. It is therefore understandable that the expression “son of God” only means “servant of God”; one who, because of his constant worship, was close to God like a son to his father. The Christians, who later came from Greek or Roman culture, misused this term. Based on their ancient “families of gods”, they viewed “son of God” as the rebirth of a god or as someone who was born through a physical union of a male and a female God. This can be seen in Acts 14: 11-13, where we can read how Paul and Barnabas preached in a city in Turkey and the idolaters claimed they were rebirths of gods. They called Barnabas the Roman god Zeus and Paul the Roman god Hermes.
Furthermore, the Greek word translated in the New Testament as “son” is “pias” and “paida”, which means “servant” or “son in the sense of servant”. These have been translated in many Bible translations regarding Jesus as “son” and in relation to everyone else as “servant”. We can see from this that Jesus actually only said that he was God’s servant.
Additional problems with the trinity
For a Christian, God had to take human form to understand temptation and human suffering, but this idea is not based on any clear statements by Jesus. On the contrary: God does not have to be tempted and suffer in order to put himself in the position of men and to forgive the sins of men – because He is the omniscient creator of men. This is expressed in the following verse:
Exodus 3: 7 “And the LORD said: I have seen the misery of my people in Egypt and heard their cries about their oppressors; I have recognized their sufferings. ”
God forgave sins before the appearance of Jesus and He continues to be forgiven without advocates. When a believer sins, he may appear to God with serious repentance to achieve forgiveness. Indeed, the offer to be humble before God and to be saved applies to all of humanity.
Isaiah 45: 21-22, cf. Jonah 3: 5-10 “Otherwise there is no God but Me, a just God and Savior, and there is none except Me. Turn to me, you will be saved, ends of all world; because I am God and no one else. ”
According to the Bible, through genuine repentance to God, people can directly ask for forgiveness of sins. This is valid for all times and all places. There was never a need for a so-called advocate role that Jesus plays in attaining penance. The facts speak for themselves. The Christian belief that Jesus died for our sins and salvation is only possible through Jesus is simply not true. Then what about saving people from Jesus? The death of Jesus does not repent of sins, nor does it somehow correspond to biblical prophecy.
The Christians claim that when Jesus was born, God was embodied in the form of a human being. To say that God really became a human being raises a lot of questions. Let us ask the following questions about the God-man Jesus. What happened to his foreskin after he was circumcised? Bodies like that of ordinary human beings? If his body didn’t work in a true human way, he couldn’t be a true human any more than he could be a true God. But if his body worked just like any other human being, this would reject any claim of divinity. It would be impossible for any part of God to decay in any way, even as an embodiment. The Eternal One God dies, decomposes, or never decomposes, either in whole or in part.
Malachi 3: 6 “I, the LORD, do not change.”
Did the flesh of Jesus stay safe after his death? If the body of Jesus was decayed during its lifetime, it could not be God, but if it was not decayed, then it could not have been a true human being.
